See plots USFS.31,32. Transect bearing 128 degrees begins up a 28 degree slope, forest dominated by Prunus serotina - Fagus grandifolia. Then the transect dropped down a 10 degree slope with more Prunus serotina - Fagus grandifolia crossed a small stream surrounded by a Betula alleghaniensis - Fagus grandifolia - Prunus serotina forest. The transect then climbed up a 15 degree slope into an Acer saccharum - Prunus serotina - Fagus grandifolia forest. The transect then went down a 50 degree slope through an old clear cut for 40 chains. The clear cut consisted of regenerating Prunus serotina, Betula lenta and Fagus grandifolia.;Sugar maple;Windthrow aspect 172 degrees. Plot is located faily close to the road. Dominant species are Prunus serotina and Acer Saccharum. Found on fire cherry on the edge of the plot.
